Question of the day: Could you recommend any not so expensive accommodation for students in Paris? (preferably NOT in the 20e arrondissement, suburbs or completely out of Paris)

Hullo! Gotta love free Thursdays. I finally managed to catch up so I decided to show up here for a day or two to deal with some issues.

School's going quite well, I was quite slow in getting to the study schedule this semester but I made it on time to get some decent midterm scores. My worse test was English where I lost whole 8 points out of 51... yuck But otherwise all went more or less well - management and SQL tests and information and knowledge processing (shittage subject btw) and development of web pages and applications semestral works.

Ahead of me are some final tests (English, databases) and another IKP, DWPA and information systems analysis and design semestral works. Way too much until Christmas. My exam period starts December 28 but I would like to pass management exam before Christmas and I'm toying with the thought of doing the same to ISAD. With few Christmas concerts, some celebrations, buying the gifts and such you can expect me to disappear in like two days from now. God be merciful and don't gift me with any more work until Christmas

This weekend my parents both are celebrating 50th birthday. We (family + friends) put our funds to buy a balloon flight. It's Dad's great dream so I hope Mum won't be too angry about having to fly too (else I would have to fly and I'd be scared ).

Also, I managed to land on the 4th place in the best students chart of my year/branch for the last year so I got merit scholarship + I get to meet the dean of my faculty on Tuesday. Oh well, now I really am scared.

Planning to upgrade to Windows 7 as soon as my exams end so that I won't have my laptop out of order in the most unsuitable time. Any experiences on Windows 7 anyone? Pros and cons? I'm on Vista and want to get rid of it. And I don't want Linux, unfit for my uni tasks and work. Too lazy to downgrade so 7 looks like a decent solution.

Also please answer my question on the top of the journal about the accommodation in Paris if you visited there. Going there with ~Tercenya in February and can take any good advice - never been there.

Tell me how everybody's been doing. I haven't heard of you or read your journals for a very long time so I have no idea.

Saturday
I'm going for midterm tests and some more translating so I won't be around again much. I need to turn my internets off a bit.

I got so used to living without deviantArt that I almost have no joy coming back... But I hope your art will take me out of this. The biggest reason why I'm here is having finished my job for now and the need for updating the clubs.

So how is everybody?

I've been busy at the uni. I have lots of semestral and team projects running and in a few weeks the midterm tests are kicking in. But it's not that bad as last semester so great I might suddenly disappear again when some new translating job comes but until now my devWatch is on again

Tuesday
I just wanted to say hello and tell you that I'm okay though still a bit sad after the loss of our dog Akbar. I've started the uni two weeks ago and I still have that translating job so I won't be coming back until I have more time. I've also started playing in uni orchestra which is fun but will eat more of my time.
Have a nice time.

Most importantly (if somebody drops by here for this info): ~Oompaloompafan, ~Sheep-Lovers-Club and ~madeby-me will be updated after October 15, if some other admin doesn't take charge of that. If I won't be able to update the clubs by the end of the month though, I will forward them to other admins.

Okay. Party tomorrow for two days. Uni starts in a week. Got some website coding to finish, a graphic design of some leaflet to do. And just today me and ~Tercenya got a huge translating job (an MTV series) and the deadline is very near. I'm outta here and clubs are on hold. Monthly updates will be a week late in case somebody wonders. Will answer comments and notes in case of something urgent.
